Description
Our program provides state approved DWI Intervention classes certified by the State of Texas. This class is a requirement in Texas for any person convicted of more than one DWI offense. This class can also be taken for Probation, Parole, Bond supervision, attorney plea offers or failed U.A. required by probation or employers. This class will satisfy the requirement for education because of a suspended driver’s license. Upon completion of the course, the participant is presented with a Texas state issued numbered certificate.
The standardized program is 30 hours in length and taught in ten 3 hour sessions. Specific course topics include:
- Take specific actions to prevent future DWI situations
- To make necessary lifestyle changes to prevent alcohol/dug related problems in other areas of the participant’s life
- Recognize inappropriate drinking patterns
- Asserting Control, Goal Setting and Responsibility
- Develop and implement a plan to change attitudes and behavior about the use of alcohol and drugs.
